June Sermon Series (Sunday Mornings)

Before God uses someone publicly, He forms them privately. “Obscurity” challenges us to wrestle through critical character issues so we are ready to serve in fullness at our appointed time. We learn to form key strengths, make decisions based on truth, and to seek only God’s authority and approval.  This series was inspired by and draws heavily from the book, “Anonymous” by Alicia Britt Chole.

Week 1:  “Secrets of Strength” – In obscurity, Jesus learned how to have the strength to detect a lie, the strength to stand on truth, and the strength to conquer temptation.  Scripture: Philippians 4:13, Matthew 4

Week 2:  “Appetites” – We live in a world where appetites lead our decision making. Jesus modeled that Truth leads.  Truth or appetites: which one leads your life?  Scripture: Philippians 4:13, Matthew 4

Week 3:  “Applause” – Where you look for approval is where you give your allegiance. Are you looking for God’s approval or the world’s?  Scripture: Matthew 4

Week 4:  “Authority” – Everybody bows to authority. “What good is it to gain the whole world and lose your soul?” Bow to God’s authority.  Scripture: Matthew 4, 16:26

Join us Sunday mornings at 10:30-11:30am!
